Clarks Summit University Wraps-Up 2017 LYFE Women’s Conference

Published June 20, 2017

Clarks Summit University held their annual LYFE Women’s Conference over the first two weekends in June 2017. LYFE provides a chance for women to be renewed through the Word of God and through fellowship with old and new friends alike.

LYFE, which represents “Living Your Faith Everyday,” was established in 1983 to give women the opportunity to connect with one another and learn biblical truths. Conference Director Diane Lytle says, “Women love this event because we spoil them all weekend long.” Lytle continues by emphasizing, “Our goal is to encourage and equip women with ideas for making their faith real. I’ve heard so many women say that LYFE is the highlight of their year.”

LYFE 2017

At LYFE 2017 attendees were challenged by Keynote speaker Christie Lothamer who presented the theme, “(re)defined,” through her four-part message. They also enjoyed worshipping with RiSE, laughing with 321 Improv and fellowshipping at the Friday night banquet catered by Aladdin Food Management Services.

An impressive selection of workshop sessions were provided for women to attend. With topics like “Repurposed! My Mess… God’s Glory” with Rachel Strong and “When Company Has Arrived but You Haven’t” with Rachel McCarty, the women participating in LYFE 2017 left challenged and refreshed.

“I have taken away spiritual nuggets from every workshop and LYFE session. God is always faithful to show me the truths I need to hear. I have come for more than 20 years now to LYFE. So many milestones on my spiritual journey relate to my experiences here. I thank the Lord for all of you,” said participant Kenna Woodring.

Of LYFE 2017, Lytle said, “Our LYFE weekends were full of fellowship, laughter, worship and soul-searching study in God’s Word.” Lytle continued, saying, “This is my tenth year as the Director of the LYFE Conference, and I am always blown away by the enthusiasm of the women who attend the conference every year. I thank God for the opportunity to be involved in such a fantastic ministry.”

One participant said, “God is so good! The whole theme (sessions and workshops) has gone along with what I have been studying this past year. It has reinforced many truths and given me even more encouragement. Thank you so much!”

Looking Ahead

CSU looks forward to LYFE 2018 as the conference will be celebrating its 35th anniversary! LYFE 2018 promises to deliver even more of the fun and spiritual transformation that have come to be associated with LYFE Women’s Conference.
