The application for doctoral study has recently been simplified. Applicants are no longer required to complete the skills assessments as part of the application.
“This will simplify the process both to enroll and begin to advance your knowledge of God’s Word while benefiting your current ministries,” says Dr. Wayne Slusser, seminary dean and professor of New Testament and Greek. Students can now apply for the Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Ministry programs by simply submitting an application and completing an interview with the BBS acceptance committee.

Doctoral Degree Programs
Doctor of Ministry
With 30 credit hours and three concentrations from which to choose, the Doctor of Ministry is built on a strong theological foundation and focuses on the exposition, communication, and ministry of God’s Word in and through various aspects of local church ministry, global ministry, counseling and educational ministries. It is directed toward the professional who wants to develop further and excel in ministry.
Doctor of Philosophy
Earn your terminal, advanced professional ministry degree, giving you the ability to engage in thorough research and writing. If you aspire to teach in higher education, work internationally as an academic leader or missionary educator or serve as a pastor with a strong teaching ministry, this 60-credit degree will help you reach your goals.
Murphy Memorial Library
Through the Murphy Memorial Library, you’ll have online access to approximately 16,000 journal titles and 8,000 full-text titles to help with your research and studies. On campus resources include approximately 100,000 volumes, 250 print subscriptions, CDs, videos, DVDs and microfilm
