MOVE IN: 1-4 p.m.
When you arrive on campus, head directly to your residence hall.  Our staff and student leadership will be waiting to welcome you and help you move in to your new “home away from home.”  The earliest check-in will begin promptly at 1 p.m.

UNIVERSITY OFFICES OPEN: 1-5 p.m.
Our support offices will be open for regular office hours.  Parents and students are encouraged to visit departments to ask questions or take care of unfinished business.

DINNER BUFFET: 4-6 p.m. Phelps Student Center
Guests pay at the door.  Students wear name tag for admission.
Adults: $8 | Children under 12: $5 | Children under 3: FREE

NEW STUDENT WELCOME & COMEDY SHOW: 7:30 p.m. Recreation Center
Students and parents join together with University faculty and staff to receive a warm welcome from our president Dr. Jim Lytle and enjoy an evening of fun and laughter together with 321 Improv Comedy. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY: 9:30 p.m. Residence Halls
Meet your Resident Directors and Resident Assistants in the middle floor lounge of your Residence Hall for an informal “get to know you” time.

ADMISSIONS SHOPPING TRIP: 8:00-9:30 a.m.
For the first time ever, the Admissions Department has partnered with Best Buy to provide new students and their families an opportunity to receive exclusive deals on laptops, tablets, headphones, and all dorm room appliances.  Imagine Black Friday shopping . . . but the only people allowed in the store are from CSU!  Please contact your Admissions Counselor for more details.

PARENT/FACULTY MEET & GREET: 10:00-10:45 a.m. Second Floor Library (Jackson Hall)
We invite parents to mingle with other parents and faculty members over coffee and snacks.

BRUNCH: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Phelps Student Center
Guests pay at the door.  Students wear name tag for admission.
Adults: $8 | Children under 12: $5 | Children under 3: FREE

ORIENTATION CENTER: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Recreation Center
The Orientation Center is an opportunity for students and parents to meet Clarks Summit University staff and receive information that will assist in your orientation to campus.

ATHLETICS ORIENTATION: 1:30-2:00 p.m. Jackson Hall, Room 140
Parents of students who are committed to an athletic team or plan to try out for an athletic team are invited to attend this information session with Athletic staff to learn more about their involvement with sports at Clarks Summit University.  Student athletes are welcome to attend, but this session is not required for them.

Following the orientation time, the parent portion of our program has concluded.  Goodbyes are appropriate at this time.  If you choose to head back to your hotel, you may pick your student up for church tomorrow.

2017 DEFENDER vs ALUMNI MEN’S SOCCER SCRIMMAGE: 2:00 p.m. Soccer Field
The men’s Defender Soccer team will scrimmage CSU alumni soccer players.  This will be a fun laid back game to attend with new friends!

CHORAL AUDITIONS: 1:30-3:30 p.m. Buckingham Hall
Auditions for Concert Choir and Chamber Singers are open to all students.

KEYBOARD TESTING: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Jackson Hall, Room 442
Students going into business, office administration, and sports management majors are required to attend.

THE AMAZING RACE: 3:30 p.m. Recreation Center
The Student Leadership Council will lead this interactive and energetic approach to making new friends and learning how to find your way around campus.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL EVENT: 7:00 p.m. Recreation Center

THE INSIDE SCOOP: 9:30 p.m. Residence Halls
Students meet in the middle floor lounge of their residence halls to learn more about residence hall life over ice cream sundaes.
