Prominent Lessons
Leading a small group, I learned that as a pastor we must help people think through the means as well as the ends of their biblical studies and theological positions.
As I prepared to preach this month I was reminded over and over that I need to let the text speak for itself, context is critical in determining the meaning of words. The tendency to import our doctrinal positions into the meaning of words is putting the cart before the horse.

Complete and submit first two Applied Bible Analyses.
Finalize a Medical Missions Team.
Enjoy a vacation with my family over Christmas break.

We had a new couple join our soul care group, which was an encouragement.
I am making some new contacts with the moms in the Moms Matter ministry and trusting God to lead me to those who could use extra encouragement.

Opportunities to get to know our neighbors.
For our future–that God would lead us to where we can be used best for our good and His glory.

Continue studying “Changed Into His Image.”
Continue to disciple my kids. Eva and I started a book, and now Micah wants me to do it with her.
