Ministry Highlights

We have had many new families visit Grace Bible over the last month. It has been great getting to visit with them and spend time getting to know them more.

On Oct. 26, we had a Campfire Worship Night. We gathered around a bonfire, did a few unplugged worship sets and prayed for both our nation and our neighborhoods. Even though it was chilly, we had over 100 people attend. The spirit of the whole night was extremely encouraging to our pastoral team as we witnessed our church come together to sing and call out to the Lord.

Our young pastoral team and our wives put on a Luncheon for our 55+ crowd. We had lunch, did some get-to-know-you games and then opened it up for any questions that they had for us during this transitional period. It was a great time to spend time with so many wise individuals and to give them an opportunity to voice any concerns they may have. The Q&A time went extremely well, with nothing but encouragement and affirmation given to our pastoral team.

Our Life Group leaders continue to be a huge encouragement to me. Some of the groups have dealt with very difficult situations, but they have handled them with wisdom and grace. I’m blessed to work with such a godly group of people!

Key Prayer Requests

To be able to retain many of our new families that have been attending Grace Bible.

Our Living Christmas Village is only four weeks away! We are praying for good weather and a good turnout from our community.

That our family would find tangible ways to be a blessing to our neighbors.

For safety as we travel to visit our families in November.

For wisdom as I minister to my coworkers who are in a difficult situation at the Olive Garden.

Prominent Lessons

Pastoral ministry requires thik skin. Not everyone will agree with your philosophy of ministry, and that’s okay.

Taking time to listen to other’s story and struggles is so important.

Life is hard, and our people need continually encouragement to live for the Lord.

Open and honest communication is always the best approach.

Key Goals for the Next Month

Finish research for my final project.

Help run our Living Christmas Village.

Preach Nov. 20 on church membership.

Finish up our first Life Group trimester.
