Ministry Highlights
We did a new event this year for the teens at youth group called the “Olympic Viewing Party.” It is just what it sounds like; we watched the Olympics together. We put the projector outside and watched it there and played soccer and volleyball when the teens lost interest in the sport that was on or couldn’t decide which one to watch. It was a good time and very enjoyable for all.
We had several people come forward who are willing to hop on and help out in some of the ministries this coming school year and that has been encouraging to see happen.
Key Prayer Requests
Prayer for the upcoming fall ministries that we are currently getting people recruited, trained and trying to give them some experiences where we can.
We lost one of the teachers for the junior high youth group so this year we are doing it a little different. I will teach the junior high each week but we have four different guys who are coming in and teaching the senior high group during that same time. Prayer for cohesiveness and growth seems to be where we are going to need to be focused.
We have a golf tournament coming up to support our local CEF missionaries, and I am in charge of getting people involved so prayer that I can be diligent in that regard and that people would respond and get involved!
Prominent Lessons
I need to be looking for and aware of God working in and through myself and the people around me because it is very helpful to see this happening and can encourage me in my efforts of service as well as the volunteers.
I learned that I can do all the planning in the world but God is going to make happen what He desires to have happen! His plan is always best and His methods of getting us to that point are perfect as well.
Key Goals for the Next Month
I am hoping to work through writing the curriculum for the two different projects that I have this coming month.
To get all the different ministries that I have oversight of off the ground and in order to do that we need to train and organize people in those specific areas.
