Prominent Lessons
Life is busy; ministry is busy, but I must never lose sight of my calling to shepherd God’s people and serve my Savior by loving others (more than myself).
Ministry is a response to life, which in a fallen world is forever being challenged to respond (rather than react) in a biblical way. It is imperative that I think biblically and apply that thinking to my practical ministry. I must be mindful to respond rather than react, all the while letting the Bible guide and direct my actions and my words.
Key Goals for the Next Month
Get my first project proposal submitted and approved.
Complete the necessary work for my first ABA.
Learn and observe as much as possible during our biblical counseling seminar this month.
Start a small group ministry in our home.

Ministry Highlights
I was asked to be a part of the Intercessor ministry, which is a group of members that prays together during the nine o’clock hour on Sundays. I greatly enjoyed being a part of God’s plan to pray for one another and share one another’s burdens.
Moms Matter will be starting up soon, and I was asked to be a part of it. This is a ministry I was a part of for nine years before moving to Clarks Summit. Now that my kids are older than most of the moms who attend, I will have a different role and perspective. I am hoping to be more of an encouragement to the servant team and to fill in any holes. Also I am hoping to find opportunities to do one-on-one discipleship as I get to know the moms.
Key Prayer Requests
Consistency in ministering to Casey’s needs as well as my kids’ needs and that they would come first.
That I would be an encouragement to the moms who attend Moms Matter, starting September 13, and that God would show me my role in this ministry.
Our soul care ministry starts September 14, which we will be hosting. Pray that I would reach out to people I don’t know and make them feel welcome.
Prominent Lessons
I need to be more willing to step out of my comfort zone and initiate with other people. I have lots of ideas and desires regarding how to do ministry but if I don’t take steps none of it is going to happen on its own.
Key Goals for the Next Month
Get to know at least one mom on the servant team of Moms Matter.
Invite Pastor Paul and Jana over for dinner (they head up the International ministry).
Make an effort to invest in my kids before bed every night.
